Stories We Live, Stories We Tell

Full speed ahead. That seems to be me most of the time. I love the outdoors, adventure, and travels near and far. I recently went on a uniquely special trip to California. It began with a childhood friend getting married. I knew when I received the invite I had to be there for such a special moment. The trip turned into quite an adventure in Yosemite National Park. I have been taking time to going through images and find I am drawn as much to the images I have captured of people as much as I am to the landscapes. Photography for me is a very special, personal, and often vulnerable space. It is from this place that I believe I am at my best, capturing moments that are representative of the people I meet, the places I explore, and who I am as an artist. I have been writing and capturing, yet pausing to share and I must admit I have missed it. So throwing aside what causes me to pause, here it goes. These two images together tell a bit of Jared's story and also very much my own.
