I was thinking I might stay home this past Sunday to focus on writing and editing my website. As always, I had a list of things I really wanted to get done. But who are we kidding, of course I decided to hit the road with James, the adventure pup, and I am so glad that I did. It was a mild day at Reid State Park and when the sun was shining bright and it felt warm for a late fall/almost winter day in Maine. We went for a run while the sun was high in the sky giving us time to get reacquainted with the park. As the sun sank lower in the afternoon we headed out for a winter beach walk to enjoy a late afternoon/ sunset photography session. I love the way the weather is constantly shifting and changing. In just a moment full sun can turn to partial sun changing the look of the landscape. As we arrived back on Mile Beach the sun came out shining brightly and we both frolicked along enjoying the warmth and admiring the shimmering glow along ocean surface.
I remember waking up that morning getting ready for the day and I was giddy as I danced around with the music turned up cooking a quick breakfast and packing up my gear. I was excited and ready for the day's adventure. When in doubt, I always choose adventure. If I have to ask myself "should I go", the answer is always in favor of getting outside to enjoy the beauty of the day. Check out my Instagram page for more photographs of my recent beach adventure.
