Today's Dreams, Tomorrow's Actions

The phrase 'today's dreams are tomorrow's actions' is a simple, yet powerful idea. I can be a bit of a dreamer. Dreaming is really awesome because it enables space for each of us to imagine the possibilities. The difficult part is often in turning dreams into actions. The thing is the dreaming is part of the process that determines the action you take next. Action is meant to be in line with and in support of what you really want, what you really love- the thing(s) that get you jazzed up for the day. I find just getting out there with little expectation is a great first step.

Growing up in Maine I was fortunate to be surrounded by water with 3,500 miles of coastline and 6,000 lakes and ponds. I have always loved the water and still find I am playful when I am near the water. Photographing water seemed like a natural subject of interest. Standing in nearly the same location on the beach, I changed my perspective with my camera and created different scenes as the sunset approached at Reid State Park in Georgetown, Maine.
